Post of Dean
In respect to Dean Appointment, internal senior academic or senior academic on sabbatical leave will be consider for this post.
Applicable of post of holders of Professor/Senior Lecturer Grade 1 candidate should be specialized in relevant subject area (Chemistry) and preference will be given to candidate with Corporate Membership of the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon (IChemC).
Age: Not more than 65 years
Employment Type:
- Full time (contract) for a period of one year which can be extended for another year.
- Working for weekends is essential but two weekdays will be given off in lieu.
- The appointee is responsible to carry out overall coordinating and administrative duties associated with the post of Dean of CCS and make effective contribution to the academic, social and other extracurricular activities of College in consultation with the President of the IChemC.
- In addition to your normal duties of the post of Dean CCS, you will be required to conduct minimum number of lecturer series and practical sessions per semester, supervise and guide minimum number of research students per year.
Salary scale: You will be remunerated based on your academic experience according to Institute’s guidelines. Rs 40,000 as Dean’s allowance per month will be paid but you will not be entitled to any other allowances.
