Post of Senior Lecturer Grade II (Physical Chemistry)
The Institute of Chemistry Ceylon will entertain applications from suitably qualified persons for the above post up to 09.09.2023.
1. Educational Qualifications
The applicant should have a Doctoral Degree in Physical Chemistry
AND
- BSc Degree with specialization in Chemistry with a class
OR
(ii) Equal professional qualifications such as Graduateship in Chemistry, Institute of Chemistry Ceylon with a class
Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Theoretical and Experimental aspects in Physical Chemistry, and Advanced Chemical Instrumentation.
Experience in Industrial (chemical and/or quality assurance) aspects, and Teaching experience in different areas of Physical Chemistry will be an added advantage.
2. Salary and Other Conditions of Appointment
Salary Scale:
I-AC 3 (II):
Senior Lecturer Grade II: Rs. 140,000 – 5 x 2,500 – Rs. 152,500
I-AC 3 (I):
Senior Lecturer Grade I: Rs. 155,000 – 5 x 3,000 – Rs. 170,000
& are entitled to Cost of Living and other relevant allowances.
(Gross monthly salary including all relevant allowances before tax deductions would not be less than Rs. 235,000/-)
3. Other Conditions
The selected candidate will be a member of the Employees’ Provident Fund as well as of the Employees’ Trust Fund.
The appointment will be on probation for a period of three years which may be extended at the discretion of the Council of the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon.
